Linda Yaniszewski, CEO & President, ExecuScribe, Inc.

I am Linda Yaniszewski, CEO and President of ExecuScribe, Inc. and Immediate Past Chairman of MTIA. I have been a member of MTIA for almost 20 years. Before serving as Chairman I was the Chair of the Membership Committee.

My goals and objectives as a board member are simple: to ensure that we as an organization and as a sector stay relevant in these challenging times. This is a transformative time for MTIA as the healthcare industry prepares for greater electronic health record adoption. In keeping with our mission of advancing the standard of excellence for our sector, MTIA has undergone its own changes to better serve the membership as a more visible and vital player in shaping health policy and best practices in clinical document creation, including:

Launched Vision 20/20: New Member Campaign aimed at Engaging Clinical Documentation Companies to raise funds, awareness, and advocacy. Streamlined membership categories from 11 to 3. Regardless of company size or commitment level, dues paid are reinvested in member businesses through national marketing, advocacy, and public relations programs.

Retained lobbying firm Dewey Square Group to bring our message of promoting the sector as a proven accelerator for EHR adoption, ensuring that our members and the sector had a voice on Capitol Hill and that patient care and patient safety remain the focus of healthcare reform. This reflected commitment to MTIA's mission to explore ideas that challenge the conventional and engage in creative solutions that position MTIA as an organization of impact in the industry. I believe we will continue to face challenging and exciting times as we further our collaborations, promote documentation accuracy and integrity, and encourage the sector to be more transparent in its operations. Together we need to spread the word that we are a vital component of medical records and patience care. In the words of Melinda Gates, "Alone we go fast, together we go far."

It has been my pleasure to serve on the MTIA Board, through which I have been introduced to MTIA colleagues who have become my competitors, my mentors and my friends. I appreciate your consideration and support.
